WELCOME TO BIOT
Medieval jewel perched amid a green shrine, ideally located east of Antibes, Biot knew how to preserve a quality of life and an identity inherited from history and the Arts and Crafts.

Arrival of artists such as Fernand Léger, whose museum stands at the entrance of the village, and Eloi Monod, initiator of the Biot blown glass tradition, brought an artistic boost, that can be felt in glass making, pottery, ceramic and jewellery workshop. The development of the Sophia Antipolis technology park shows today the new face of a town resolutely turned towards the future.

BIOT, CITY OF HISTORY
The narrow alleys bear tracks of a past full of historical events. Biot has been the fief of the Knight-Templars, followed by the Knights of Malta. From its reconstruction in 1470, the village has kept an architecture with specific vaultings, fortified gates and engraved stones.

Discover the sceneries in the valley of river Brague, hiking by the riverside, in the shade of the verdant vegetation of the Brague Nature Park, between Biot and Valbonne. Today, eleven way-marked itineraries can be hiked all year long.

Since the creation of the Biot glass-making factory by Eloi Monod, many glass-blowers have learnt their craft in Biot and have started their own workshops. Those artists share their passion with the public through demonstrations performed into their own workshops and galleries.
