History : Blazon and logo of Biot

  The ongoing dynamism of Biot finds its roots in the exceptional synergy that exists between our history, from which we take our heritage, and what makes our everyday life. It also turns towards creation and future.

In order to clearly show those two dimensions, Biot chose to use two symbols of communication. The first symbol, the blazon reflects without any change history ; it symbolizes everything related with Biot’s heritage. So, it remains used for official ceremonies, commemorations… The second symbol, the logo, is used for everything related to the daily city life.

  Biot is remarkable for the high diversity of gifts and creators. Originally, Biot used to be renowned for one single craft : pottery. Indeed, nature was generous, since all the needed materials for pottery, such as clay, sand, manganese and kiln stone are to be found on site.
